This background is primarily a great exercise for me in drawing from storyboard panels! If you like it, I’m thinking of redrawing other storyboard panels from The Mysterious Cities of Gold for future videos. In this first part, you can see in detail my process, from the rough draft to the 2D layout, and finally the addition of grayscale values to start the coloring !
